Why We Created AudiLearn
This started with our two daughters, ages 5 and 7.
Like many parents, we wanted them to learn English. We live in a non-English speaking country, and we knew English would open doors for them - academically, professionally, and personally.
But finding the right content was surprisingly hard.
We tried apps, but they were mostly games in disguise. Our girls would tap buttons and collect rewards, but they weren't really learning language. YouTube had English content, but the quality was all over the place, and we worried about screen time. We looked into tutoring, but it was expensive and our kids didn't enjoy it.
Then we tried audiobooks. That seemed perfect - no screens, actual stories, proper English. But they were too difficult. Our daughters would get lost within minutes, not understanding words or losing track of characters. They'd get frustrated and give up.
We realized the problem: there was nothing that matched their level, explained vocabulary as they learned, and kept them engaged without a screen.
So we started creating audio stories for them.
We kept the stories short - just a few minutes at first. We wove explanations right into the narrative, so when they heard a difficult word, they'd immediately understand it. We made sure they could follow along even if they zoned out for a moment, with gentle reminders about characters and plot.
And something wonderful happened. Our daughters started asking for these stories. Not because we made them, but because they genuinely enjoyed them.
Within a few months, we watched their English transform. They went from knowing a handful of words to speaking in complete sentences. More importantly, they developed a genuine love for learning English - it wasn't a chore anymore, it was something they chose.
That's when we realized other families might need this too. So we kept building - more stories, more levels, better explanations - until AudiLearn became what it is today.
